If you heat with propane, the worst time to find out the tank is low is a January night. Automatic delivery takes that job off your list. We keep track of the tank, and the truck shows up before you need it.
How it works
When you sign up, we look at your tank size and what runs on propane in your house: furnace, water heater, range, generator. From that and the weather, we estimate how fast you burn fuel. Automatic delivery customers also get a tank monitor at no charge, so we are reading your actual level instead of guessing.
When the level drops, your address goes on the route. You do not check a gauge and you do not call.
What it costs
The tank monitor is free for automatic delivery customers. The propane is priced per gallon, and the price per gallon goes down as the fill gets larger. Current prices for each fill size are posted on our propane delivery page.
Who should use it
Automatic delivery makes the most sense if propane is your main heat, if you travel in winter, or if you have run low before and do not want to do it again. If propane only runs a fireplace or a range, calling in a fill once or twice a year may be all you need. We do both.
When we deliver
Our trucks follow a route by town. Wallingford gets delivery every day. Meriden, Cheshire, Hamden, North Haven, Berlin and Southington are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Durham, Middletown, Guilford, Madison and the other towns east and south are Tuesday and Thursday. You can check your town on our areas we serve page.
