Propane for home heating is a good fit for many Connecticut houses, and it can do a lot more than heat. Most people think of propane as grill fuel. In a house it can do a great deal more than that, and one tank can run all of it.
Propane for home heating
High-efficiency propane furnaces and boilers turn more than 90 percent of the fuel they burn into heat for the house. They come up to temperature quickly and hold it on the coldest nights of a Connecticut winter.
Hot water, cooking and the rest
- Water heaters, either tank or tankless
- Ranges and ovens, with instant control of the flame
- Clothes dryers
- Fireplaces and space heaters
- Standby generators, which keep the heat and lights on in a power outage
- Pool heaters, spa heaters and grills
One tank and one delivery feed every appliance on that list.
It burns clean
Propane leaves very little soot or residue behind, so burners and heat exchangers stay cleaner between service visits. It also does not contaminate soil or groundwater.
The tank goes where it fits
A propane tank can sit above ground beside the house or be buried in the yard with only a small dome showing. We offer ASME tanks in 60, 120, 500 and 1,000 gallon sizes, and the right one depends on what you plan to run.
Fuel that is already on your property
Many streets in Central Connecticut have no gas main. Propane does not need one. Your supply is stored on site, and on automatic delivery we monitor the tank for you, with a tank monitor at no charge.
